The coming year is going to be a good one for me; I can feel it. My 2009 was absolute shit, my 2010 has been progressively on the up-and-up, so I have a feeling that it will all come together for me in 2011 — I will figure… something… out, make some travel plans, take some cheap holidays, put some money in the bank, hopefully see the approval of my Aussie partner visa, and maybe even start a new online venture. I’m already in love with 2011, and it hasn’t even happened yet!
I thought it might be cool to do something that documents my life for the year, or at least something that I can look back on and see more clearly what was happening every single day. Some people do the mug shot photos, which could be one option. Another idea would be to do a blog post for every day of the year, perhaps blogging about my day in relation to travel. Or, for something more elaborate, I could write myself a daily postcard and mail it to myself from wherever I might then be.
To be honest, I’m having trouble thinking of something clever, so if you have any ideas, I’d love to hear them!
Is anyone else looking forward to 2011 as much as I am?
I am very excited about 2011! I’ve recently come back from a 20-month long trip and coming back to reality has proven to be much harder than expected. So 2011 is going to be a year when I am going to work on building my ability to live location independently. Lots of plans. Hopefully some of them will work out

Brooke! I could have written this myself, haha! I am SO looking fwd to 2011 because I’m making big changes too. I’m also wondering how to document it… So I’ll have to check back here to see what people suggest. I’m driving across country again and moving out my house for pretty much the first time ever (& I’m 27) and living with my (actor) uncle in Los Angeles. It’s going to be very interesting and I def need a way to document. It’ll have to involve pictures + blogging and I’m determined to think of something creative so I stick with it.
I’ll keep in touch if I think of anything cool!

Wow, it does sound like some big changes are coming your way! Moving to LA I think is a big change for anyone, but with an actor uncle? Awesome! Definitely want to hear more about that as it unfolds

Sounds like an awesome 2011. There’s this new website that might help you document your life, especially travels. It’s called TraceMyTrip. You can add blogs, photos, videos, and put it all on a map. You can even book trips from there, if you wanted. Could be cool if you’re planning to spend 2011 traveling and want to keep track of where you are and what you’re doing.
