I about had a spaz out a couple weeks ago when I received a message on Twitter from Adam. I was tweeting if anybody wanted to meet up for coffee when I was in Perth, and surprisingly Adam responded that it was a possibility. What a coincidence!
Adam and Heather, two people I know from Sydney, have been campervan tripping it across Australia for 6 weeks now with Heather’s friend Nicole and were on their way to being in Western Australia and even Perth at about the same time as me.
I got to meet up with them on day 87, and it was a much needed break from my lonely wanders. They found me up at Kings Park, in the sweltering sunshine, and we proceeded to hike around the park (until we couldn’t handle the 34C weather).

After Kings Park, we all wanted something cold and something to eat, so we headed to Toast, a local cafe to get smoothies and lunch. Yum yum, it was delicious. Below is a picture of my corn fritters with bacon and maple syrup.

Even though we called it early because we were all so spent from the hike in the heat, it was so much fun to meet up with the crew here, and hopefully we’ll be doing something on Thursday as well… Rottnest Island perhaps!

Aw wish I was still there! Good luck with the weather…it’s got to cool down sometime soon! At least Rottnest will be a nice excuse to jump in the water and cool off!
Have fun!
Hey Brooke your photos of Perth are making me homesick. Have lots of fun on Rotto with the quokkas!
Loveedddd the cute little quokkas!
Awesomeness, some of my favorite current and former Sydneysiders together again.

See you again tomorrow
Looks fab – and that breakfast! Gotta love an Aussie corn fritter! Have fun!
