Big news! After round 1 of the Canon Island Blogger Photo Contest, the one where only 5 bloggers have been chosen to compete for a chance to visit Canon Island in March, I’m in the lead!
This is very exciting! I know there are still 4 rounds to go, but having that sort of momentum is inspiring.
And now, round 2 is live and ready for voting.
Theme 2: Desert Island
There were so many ideas floating around in my head, and I feel like the hardest part of this contest so far is just trying to turn those visions into a reality. After many photo mishaps and failures, I stumbled on the following shot.
What one thing would you bring to a desert island?
The photo contains a group of Aussies I went camping with at Forster over the New Year holiday. I asked them the following question:
“What one thing would you bring with you to a desert island?”
To which many of the guys answered, “Beer.”
The photo shows the one little thing they would each take: food, water, beer, sunscreen, an esky (cooler), thongs (flip-flops), a cork hat and a Wilson ball.
I guess if I got stranded on a desert island, it would be nice to be washed up with this group for sure!
