Favorite Hostel Art: Top 3 Responses

A short while ago, I showed off a hostel that had some awesome hostel art (or hostel graffiti, whichever you prefer). It added to the fun vibe of the place and made it more memorable.

At the end of that post, I asked you to share your favorite places for hostel art, and here are the top 3 responses:

This newly renovated hostel is situated in Barcelona, Spain and features wall graffiti in just about every room.

Gallery Hostel, Porto — suggested by Hostelworld

This hostel in Porto, Portugal is adequately named given it actually hosts artwork throughout the facility and is located in a section of the city surrounded by art galleries.

The Baxpax Hostel Berlin Mitte, Berlin — suggested by Rach

This hostel takes the cake in terms of hostel art. Each room has a different theme, and the walls are painted to portray this.

>> Another personal favorite of mine is the Soul Kitchen Jr. hostel in St. Petersburg.

Do you have a favorite hostel for art and/or graffiti? Would you like to stay in any of these hostels above?

I LOOOOVED Gallery Hostel in Porto! Definitely would recommend. Super artsy and lots of good activities like free walking tours, port tastings and nightly dinners.

In Baños, Ecuador, I stayed at a hostel with awesome art work on the ceiling of all the rooms. Unfortunately it’s hard to photograph ceilings:

Nothing beats hostel art! Best ever. I love the one in Mitte, Berlin. Would definitely have stayed there if I’d known it existed. Berlin is just really good for graffiti art in general.

I hear nothing but good things about Berlin these days! Hopefully I’ll get to check it out next summer. 🙂
