 Day 64: Nursing my cold. |
America, I miss thee. In just a short time, I will be setting foot on your soil again, and I can’t wait. Aussie boyfriend will be in tow.
Since I spent the majority of day 64 sleeping and trying to nurse my stupid cold, I decided now is as good a time as ever to post my USA itinerary. There’s going to be a lot of short stops, and hopefully a meet-up or two in each city.
May 28 – Leave Sydney
May 28 – Arrive Los Angeles
I’ll be celebrating my 28th birthday in LA on the 29th, and I was thinking tacos and margaritas. Want to join?
May 30 – Leave LA/Arrive San Francisco
Perhaps there can be a meet-up with the San Francisco Travel Tribe members in these couple of days.
June 1 – Leave San Francisco/Arrive Chicago
There are so many people I want to meet up with in Chicago! If you’re there and want to have a night out, let me know what evening works best for you!
June 4 – Leave Chicago/Arrive Peoria via bus
I’ll be back in my old ‘hood of P-town. Party at my mom’s house? You know where to find me.
June 14 – Leave Peoria/Arrive Las Vegas
Sin City, I am eagerly awaiting your introduction. Will I be taken in by the Vegas effect?
June 17 – Leave Las Vegas
June 19 – Arrive Sydney
Home again, home again, jiggity jig.
What am I looking forward to?
- People who speak normally.
- Mexican food, and lots of it.
- Proper burgers.
- Seeing old friends and family.
- Meeting other travelers.
- Showing Pat my ‘hood.
- Cheap alcohol and nights out (compared to Sydney).
- Driving a car on the right-hand side of the road.
- The 24 hour culture I love.

I’m not sure what I’m doing in June but I should be around. If you have time we should totally go for a burger (I live fairly close to Kuma’s) and let me know if you need a place in the city to crash.

You said the magic word for Los Angeles: MARGS!! (and tacos too). I forgot how much I missed them when I was away and have been eating and drinking them non-stop since I got home:-).
Totally give a shout when you are in LA! Memorial Day weekend! Should be plenty crowded, but I’ll be around. Have car, will travel!
