We spent the first few days of our American holiday on the colder end of the spectrum, which was a little more than disappointing after expecting to be hit with summer rays. Chicago, on the other hand, brought the heat, and that brought us to the streets for some sightseeing.
Pat and I were loving the water taxis down on the river. You get a good look at the city of Chicago that towers over you, a city I hadn’t realized in the past that was so unique in appearance until my return.

We were just about ready to call our downtown session quits when we came upon some street performers. Street performers = awesome.

Street performers = double awesome when they guilt your boyfriend into being part of the show. Holla!

Luckily, Pat didn’t die.

Did you guys take an architectural boat tour or stick to the water taxis? Looks like you may have had a trip up Michigan Avenue – street performers rake in the cash along that strip.
Love those tumbler guys!

Are you still in Chicago? We should grab lunch or coffee tomorrow!
No, sorry I’m in Peoria now spending time with the family!
Sorry, but I didn’t see Oprah. Isn’t that why everyone goes to Chicago?
Where’s Chicago?
Just kidding. That sounded fun – a city break with a twist… in the air!
Saw this posted on Twitter today about the Chicago Cultural Center, and it made me think about you (cause I’d just read this post): http://gobigorgohomeblog.com/1351
How fun! I’ve never really spent time in Chicago. I’ve always wanted to though!
