Day 37: A Collection of Photos & What They Might Say

Day 37: What Does This Say?

Day 37: What Does This Say?

Photos speak volumes on their own by telling the story of a place through a visual snapshot. They give a place life. What happens, though, if we give the photo itself life?

I chose a few random photos from around the world and gave them each a little line they might be saying. Feel free to make some additions of your own in the comments!

women and cart

This photo says, “Damn, I look good today.” Loved how awkwardly awesome this woman stuck out in the crowd in Krakow, Poland. I think she was pushing a basket of bread.

weird tree odessa

This one says, “I’m a freaky-ass ugly tree.” It should be located in front of a castle in Transylvania. Instead I saw this on the streets of Odessa, Ukraine. Close enough?

pedro walking

This one says, “Would you like me to tell your future?” Oh, what a funny moment this street graffiti provided in Vilnius, Lithuania.

matamata sheep

This one says, “Welcome to New Zealand.” I could throw out a few sheep-shagging jokes, but… I won’t go there.

group in cave

This one says, “I’m in a… cave?” I love how the girls are obviously fixated on something interesting, while John is lost in the nothingness. Taken in a Taliotic cave on Menorca, Spain.

group around lava of pacaya

This one says, “What safety regulations?” Climbing an active volcano in Guatemala with hot lava flowing down the sides is surely a family friendly event.

cell phones and chicken ladies

This one says, “I need to sell my chicken so I can pay my cell phone bill.” She’s a traditional sort of girl in a modern world, and that is something that intrigued me while in Chichicastenango, Guatemala.

brooke with giant leaves

This one says, “I’m shrinking!” The leaves in the jungle parts of Palenque, Mexico are gigantic and Jurassic, making me feel uber tiny.

Thanks :) Those leaves really are giant — like the size of my body. Nuts.
