I love the backpacking, long-term travel community because everyone is so helpful and of the same mindset: we’re all a bit thrifty. When it comes to saving the pennies, valuing a dollar and making do with what we have, I have sure seen some of the best inspiration coming from other blogs.
Thus brings me to my reason for writing.
I’m dedicating Day 172′s post to this topic because well, let’s face it, without keeping up my daily photos since I got back in Australia, it is really hard to even remember what I did that day. So, we’ll talk about this little project.
The Thrifty & Resourceful Travelers Ebook
I want to put together a free and helpful ebook that is compiled of both my thrifty, resourceful travel trips as well as yours.
Want to play? Want to have your bestest tips-filled blog post featured in the ebook?
Great!
How to Contribute to the Ebook
The process is quite simple. Just write a new blog post on your site divulging your best thrifty travel tip(s) before July 31st. In the post, be sure to include this blurb to let others know about the project in case they’d like to participate:
Brooke vs. the World has asked travel bloggers to put together their best thrifty and resourceful travel tips for a helpful, free ebook. If you think you’re thrifty and would like to participate, check out the official rules.
Example of a post that would work perfectly: 5 Essential Pack Items from the Dollar Store
Some ideas can include talking about how you get low-cost airfares, how you fixed (MacGyver-ed) gear on the road, how you created a DIY version of a popular tour for heaps less money or just how you save money on the road. If you have a question on a topic, feel free to send an email.
When the Post is Published
After the post is live, before July 31st, drop me an email with a link to the post. Be sure to include a one or two sentence bio that will go with the story.
I will:
- stumble and tweet your posts
- post the article on my Facebook page
- provide you with a bio in the ebook with links to your site and social media accounts
You must be willing to:
- let me take the content and photos (advise on photos) from the post and insert them in the ebook
- place the project blurb and link in your blog post
- post the article up before the end of July
That’s it: win-win! I get some more amazing tips from awesome travelers, and you get to be featured in a helpful ebook
