Day 251: Share Your Best Travel Photo & Win the Print!

Whenever I get to include the word “win” in a blog post, it always makes me a little bit giddy.

Getting up close with native Australian wildlife always makes a great travel moment and photo.

Not too long ago, I was approached by Easy Canvas Prints who were offering a free print in return for a review on my site. Of course I was interested! But, what good does a review really do when it comes to my readers? It gives the company a little bit of link love, and maybe a bit of advertising, but chances are simply: the majority of people will graze over the post and not give it a second thought.

So, instead of taking the free Easy Canvas Print for myself, I thought I’d give it to one of you!

I bet you all have some lovely travel photos that you’d rather have hanging on your wall instead of just sitting on your computer’s hard drive. With this giveaway, you just might get a free 11″ x 14″ print of that one special piece!

How to Enter

It’s easy! Just scan through your travel photos and pick out that one special piece. Once you have it chosen:

  • Resize your photo to an email-friendly size (we can get the high-res later on).
  • Drop it in an email to me (contact at brookevstheworld dot com) with the subject of “Travel Photo Submission”.
  • Include a one sentence caption for the photo.
  • Include your social media (twitter / facebook) and blog info.
  • Send.

Submissions will be taken until the end of September 16, 2011. Winner announcement will be during the week of the 19th.

This contest is only open to those with mailing addresses in the continental United States (no PO Boxes). Sorry!

Judging the Photos

When I receive the photos, I will upload them all into a designated photo album on the BvtW Facebook page for easy viewing and commenting. This will not be a contest judged on “likes” or comments! However, photos that do draw attention might sway my opinion of who to pick as a winner.

One last thing: When the winner does receive their print in the mail, I would love to get a photo of you holding your print to update on Facebook and this blog!

    Just entered! It was almost impossible to choose a shot though, since I literally have thousands of photos from my road trip last month that haven’t been printed yet!
