Today I got the pleasure of visiting the Maui Jim Australia office in the Sydney suburb of Frenchs Forest, where I met up with the awesome Rob Garrett, marketing coordinator. Rob helped me through the fun process of finding the perfect pair of Maui Jim sunnies, and it looked a little like this:

Picking the right color lens makes me confused, as you can tell…
I couldn’t decide if the mauve Ginger frames were right for me. Tough decisions.
I ended up going with Ginger frames in sandstone color and HTC bronze lenses – they are so cute!
What do you think? Great pair?

Why am I wearing Maui Jim?
Well, since you asked so nicely…
Because I’m going to Hawaii in November!
Yay! I’ve never been to Hawaii, and I always thought that it might one day act as a cheap hub or stopover on my way to visit my family back in the States. Thanks to a great sale from Jetstar, I was able to pounce on some cheap airfares to Hawaii THIS NOVEMBER. I’m so excited!
In addition, I’m working with the Hawaii Tourism board to put together a few days of exploration on Oahu, and they also put me in touch with Maui Jim Australia.
Why? Because a girl’s got to protect her eyes from all that sunshine they have over there in Paradise!
And from the harsh sun that beats down on me every day in Australia, too. That’s important.
Now, thanks to Rob and Maui Jim, I have a fantastic, comfortable, fashionable pair of sunnies to sport not only on my upcoming adventures, but every day. I’m thankful for the offer, and I’m sure the patented PolarizedPlus®2 lenses (said to block out 99.9% of glare and 100% of bad UV) will do wonders for my eyes.

This is funny because before I moved to Sydney I never owned a pair of sunglasses but before I left I figured I’d finally need them. Have fun in Hawaii… I’ve always wanted to go.
