We all have places when we travel that feel a bit more untouched and perfect. You know what I’m talking about… less tourists, maybe cheaper, perhaps just unreal in beauty. These places we love and yet we almost fear telling others about in case more people would ruin what makes it so special.
I met up with Pat for lunch in Sydney city yesterday and we ate at one of our favorite places, both because it has amazing food and because the price is out of this world. We love it, but when I mentioned that I should write about it, he kind of joked that maybe more publicity would make it more popular and who knows… they would raise prices or something crazy would change. Who wants that?
In actuality, this little lunch-only place is pretty damn busy, so nothing would change really, but I have to admit… I had this little thought in the back of my mind like, “Yeah, too right.”
With travel blogging becoming so unbelievably popular, there are bound to be more of those “secret” places becoming mainstream, and let’s face it, the travel industry has a way of causing change, and sometimes not for the better.
So, I’m curious about your thoughts on this, and whether or not you share it all on your blog. Do you have a secret travel place, and would you care to share?

My secret travel place is not a plane ride away but a few hours of travel. It’s a farm with lots of organic scenery, pets, animals and a very relaxing place where you can lie down and almost touch the stars at night. Amazing place
Sounds very green and relaxing! Thanks for sharing
I have a few secret places that I would be happy to share with others. They’re not all cheap or the best but I like them! I think you need to tell us your fave secret places.
To be honest, I don’t this food place’s name
It’s below the escalators downstairs at Wynyard station!
